A Year of Promoting The People Who Make the Things I Love: Jan 8–James Acaster

In 2022, I am going to spend some time each day promoting someone who makes the things I love. I started this series because I believe that we, myself included, spend so much time on social media dunking on people (however deserved) and not enough time lifting up people deserving of positive attention.

Today’s featured person is comedian James Acaster.

I discovered Acaster on Tik Tok, where I found one channel that posts clips of the comedian, typically on British panel shows, where he excels.

He does stand up as well, but many of the clips I’ve seen have come from his panel appearances. I was very excited to see that he was on this year’s edition of Big Fat Quiz of the Year, and he did not disappoint.

He was also on The Great British Bakeoff, where he was amazing as usual.
