A Year of Promoting The People Who Make the Things I Love: Feb 2 — Ashly Burch
In 2022, I am going to spend some time each day promoting someone who makes the things I love. I started this series because I believe that we, myself included, spend so much time on social media dunking on people (however deserved) and not enough time lifting up people deserving of positive attention.
With Horizon Forbidden West and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands coming out in the near future, today is a perfect day to highlight the incredible voice actor Ashly Burch.
I remember how surprised I was to discover that two of the characters I have most loved from video games, Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn and Tiny Tina from Borderlands 2 and 3, were voiced by the same person.
So I started to learn more about her, and I quickly realized that she is a voice actor in a ton of amazing projects. If you scroll through her IMDb page, you will very likely see that she was in a tv show or video game you love.
Ashly has recently joined Tik Tok, and not surprisingly, I love to see her videos. I know people who have worked with her, and they said that she is as awesome in person as you would hope.
I know I’m sounding like a fanboy here, but she is way up there on the list of the people I would most like to hang out with. If you aren’t familiar with her work, take a little time today to check out her work.
