A Year of Promoting The People Who Make the Things I Love: Feb 16 — Mary Elizabeth Kelly

In 2022, I am going to spend some time each day promoting someone who makes the things I love. I started this series because I believe that we, myself included, spend so much time on social media dunking on people (however deserved) and not enough time lifting up people deserving of positive attention.

Today’s featured person is the fantastic impressionist and actor Mary Elizabeth Kelly.

I first saw Mary’s videos on Tik Tok, and I knew it was only a matter of time before I started seeing them everywhere. Her bread and butter is doing impersonations of various celebrities. She doesn’t just imitate their voices, but she transforms her entire facial structure to fully embody them.

A few of her impressions are so uncanny that it seems she must secretly be some kind of lost Barrymore-Rider-Bobbie Brown sister, but I think she’s just that good.

You should definitely follow her on Tik Tok and everywhere else. You won’t regret it.
